They can create warmth, soften and add a whimsical touch or inject colour and drama in an exciting and vivid way.

From the first consultation, we take the time to listen to a couple’s ideas and vision and get to know them, their personality and individual style. Whether you are planning an intimate, family wedding or a lavish, formal reception, we work hard to exceed all your expectations. Every detail is considered, right down to the colour of pins and choice of vase and our dedicated team are on hand to ensure everything is executed to the letter.

Not sure what to budget? All weddings are different and prices vary depending on the type of flowers you choose, the arrangements you need and overall size of your wedding party. We have a minimum spend of £750, but as a rough guide, our couples typically spend between £1,000 to £8,000 on their wedding flowers and decorations.

What you can expect

We book appointments up to 3 weeks in advance and release new appointments weekly. We do appointments during the day, after work and on Saturdays, however be advised that weekend and evening appointments get booked up fast and are limited during peak wedding season.

What to expect from The Flower Lounge

For an informal chat, please feel free to call The Flower Lounge on 0161 446 2556 anytime. Flowers are our favourite topic of conversation (well, that and whose turn it is to make the tea!) That said, we always recommend that you check your date is free first!

If it is and you have decided you would like to talk through your ideas and our experience in more detail, you will be invited to book a free consultation.  We book appointments up to 3 weeks in advance and release new appointments weekly.  We’re more than happy to meet during the day, after work or on Saturdays, but be advised that weekend and evening appointments book up fast. Saturday appointments are particularly limited as we’re often out, setting up weddings, as we hope to be doing for yours one day! Please note, we have a minimum spend of £750 on all weddings.

The initial consultation

Once you have booked your appointment, we will send you a pre-wedding consultation form which enables us to check the availability of your wedding date as well as understand a little more about the vision for your wedding. Don’t worry too much, we won’t hold you to this! It just means you’re thinking about some of the detail you may not have considered and we’re getting a bit of an insight – you might even want to bring along some relevant examples of things you like.

The purpose of the consultation is really to get to know each other better. It is so important that you choose a florist which inspires you and whom you trust. Similarly, we get to understand your likes, dislikes, ideas and inspiration. Feel free to bring as many references as you want, whether that’s magazine tear sheets, swatches or Pinterest boards!

We usually schedule an hour or so for this first appointment and definitely recommend bringing someone along with you to share the experience. We think two people is the perfect number…otherwise it can get confusing!

We will go through all your floral requirements from the bouquet to your reception plans. We can show you examples of our work and all the vases, votives and props that we can use to help create your vision.

Once we have met, your quote will be emailed to you within 5 days. To secure the date, we require a £100 non-refundable booking fee, which will be deducted from your final bill

Before the wedding

We meet around 4 or 5 weeks before your wedding date to finalise your requirements and talk through all the details. We will then send a fully itemised invoice which will allow you to check everything off.  This will need to be paid 2 weeks prior to your wedding by bank transfer, debit card or cash.

On the day itself

We will deliver your bridal flowers to you on the morning of your wedding at an agreed time, usually 2 hours before the ceremony.

Our dedicated team will ensure all the ceremony and venue flowers are set up for you on the day. We like to think this gives you one less thing to think about! We will also collect all hire items the next day from your venue, unless agreed otherwise.
